Foulad stuns Sepahan at home

Isfahan, April 7 - Visitor Foulad of Khuzestan on Sunday gave the leader Sepahan a surprising loss in the 18th week of Iran pro league. The southern side, Foulad, struck three in a pulsating match to hand Sepahan of Isfahan a 3-2 defeat in an empty Naqsh-e Jahan stadium. Sepahan took the lead in the 25th minute as Leon Stepanian fired home. Ehsan Shiri leveled the match on 39 minutes and his teammate Mohammad Alavi made it 2-1 four minutes later, giving Foulad a 2-1 win in the first half. Asghar Taleb-Nassab secured the parity after one minute into the second half but this was Adel Zoveidavi poured cold water on Isfahanis as he grabbed the winner three minutes into the injury time. Ali Khosravi refereed the match in an empty stadium as the disciplinary committee of Iran's football federation offered Sepahana 250-dollar fine a fan-free match for the violation of Sepahan supporters in its match against Esteqlal of Tehran. Sepahan is still the leader of league with 35 points and one match in hand.
