262KG of drugs seized in south Iran

Baluchestan Prov, Aug 2 - Police confiscated in exceed of 262 kgs of various kinds of illicit drugs in Zahedan and Nikshahr, information dissemination center of the Zahedan police department reported.
Some 245 kgs of drugs were seized during a police search of two personal houses in the Shirabad district of Zahedan while another 17.5 kgs of drugs were discovered and confiscated in Nikshahr as a result of inspection of a private car.
The car inside which the drugs were skillfully hidden was moving on the Qasrq and-Jigour route.
At the same time 9 rifles and some amount of ammunition were also seized by the police personal from the wrongdoers.
Those involved in the drug smuggling cases were arrested and handed over to the judicial officials to undergo the legal proceedings.
