NATO set to choose new chief

Brussels, Sept 22 - NATO's decision-making body was due to meet on Monday to choose a new Secretary General, who is widely tipped to be Dutch foreign minister Jaap De Hoop Scheffer, a diplomat in Brussels told AFP.
The North Atlantic Council (NAC), the 19-member organisation's committee of ambassadors, was to meet from 3:30 pm (1330 gmt) at the alliance's Brussels headquarters, said the diplomat, who asked not to be named.
