Iranian cultural week in Venezuela

Tehran, June 24 - The Iranian cultural week opened in the city of Merida, in Venezuela, Sunday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Iranian Ambassador to Venezuela Ahmad Sobhani and a number of local political and cultural figures. Sixty books in Spanish on Iranian history and literature as well as religious issues are on display in an exhibit in connection with the week-long event. Twenty paintings and 30 calligraphic works by some of Iran's greatest artists, pictures of Iranian historical sites, handicrafts and Iranian musical instruments are also showcased in the exhibit. Meanwhile, Iranian arts and cultural works were also the subject of another exhibit which opened in the city of Brazilia, in Brazil, Monday. The exhibition runs for a week.
