Philippines receives oil from Russia

Manila, Aug 1 - The Philippines will receive the first cargo of crude oil from Russia within a month, as part of efforts to diversify the country's sources of energy, the government said Friday.
According to the department of foreign affairs, some 700,000 barrels of "light-sweet crude oil" are on the way to the Philippines from Russia.
The supply was loaded onto a tanker on July 23, and is expected to arrive in Manila in "early August", the department said in astatement.
