Explosion in Pakistan kills 45

Islamabad, Aug 3 - Forty-five people were killed and 60 others injured by a weekend explosion and fire in a village in northwestern Pakistan, the state-run television channel PTV reported on Sunday.
Thirteen other people were said to be missing after the fire and explosion Saturday night in a house where explosive materials were stored in a village in the Diamir district, PTV reported.
It said the incident caused havoc in Warel valley in a mountainous area.
It was not clear immediately why and what kind of explosives were stored in the house, PTV said.
